In Loving Memory of
W. Earnest Barron, MD
March 22, 1931 – August 9, 2016
Everyone at Coweta Samaritan Clinic is deeply saddened by the recent death of Dr. W. Earnest Barron. Clinic founder, Dr. Kay Crosby recalls, “He was one of the first people I called when the clinic was just an idea and he jumped in ready and anxious to serve.”
Once the clinic opened in October 2011, Dr. Barron began seeing patients every Wednesday and continued to do so until what turned out to be pancreatic cancer began to slow him down late in 2015. “Dr. B” faithfully treated his patients for more than four years and he was widely admired and adored by them. One of his patients shared the feelings of many when he said, “He’s the best doctor in Coweta County.”
Kay Crosby commented, “Dr. Barron has been a true blessing to this clinic and our patients since the beginning. He has been an inspiration to me, personally. We are going to miss him terribly. There will be a huge hole here without him. Our love and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.”
Clinic volunteer and Barron family friend, Norma Haynes remembered, “Dr. Barron was a man of deep faith who truly loved every patient he saw and who so enjoyed his Wednesdays at the Clinic when he could share his talent of healing and his devotion to those patients who came his way. His wonderful wit made them happy and his sincere caring for them was the healing so many of them needed. He was truly a giant among men and was devoted to the Samaritan Clinic from the first day he walked into his office five years ago.”
Everyone associated with Coweta Samaritan Clinic is grateful for the life and work of Dr. Earnest Barron and expresses heartfelt sympathy to his family and his many friends.
